Tendulkar Biography

Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar, short name Sachin Tendulkar, but simply known as Little Master or Master Blaster. He is an Indian former international cricketer and a former captain for the Indian national team. He played as a right-handed top-order batsman and right-arm medium leg-break, an off-break bowler for his team. The Little Master is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in the history of cricket. He is the highest run-scorer of all time in international cricket.

The Master Blaster is the only cricket player to have scored 100 international centuries.
He is the first batsman to score double centuries in a One Day International (ODI).
He is the holder of the record for the most runs in both Test and One Day International.
Tendulkar is the only player to complete more than 30,000 runs in international cricket.

Early Life

He was born into a Maharashtrian family on 24 April 1973 in India. His father’s name is Ramesh Tendulkar and his mother’s name is Rajni Tendulkar. His father Ramesh Tendulkar was a well-known Marathi Novelist & poet and his mother Rajni Tendulkar worked in the insurance industry. The Little Master is the fourth child and third son of his parents. He has two elder brothers, Nitin Tendulkar and Ajit Tendulkar and an elder sister, Savita.

Career Information

Test debut: Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar made his Test career debut at Karachi on 15 November against Pakistan. On that match, he scored 15 in the first innings, and in the second innings, the match was drawn before his batting.

Last Test : He played his last test at Mumbai 14-16 November 2013 against West Indies. On that match, he scored 74 runs from 118 balls by 12 fours and India won by an innings and 126 runs.

ODI debut: The Master Blaster made his One Day International career debut against Pakistan at Gujranwala on 18 December 1989, where he scored 0 runs.

Last ODI: He played his last One Day International on 18 March 2012 against Pakistan, during the 2012 Asia Cup. On that match, he scored 52 from 48 balls, and India won by 6 wickets with 13 balls remaining.

T20I debut: Sachin made his T20 International career debut against South Africa at Johannesburg on 1 December 2006. It was first and last T20I of his international career, where he scored 10 runs and India won by 6 wickets with 1 ball remaining.

Tendulkar International Retirement

On 23 December, the Little Master announced his retirement from One Day International (ODI) and he announced his retirement from all formats of cricket on 10 October 2013.
