Rohit Gurunath Sharma celebrated name is Rohit Sharma commonly know as Shaana or Hitman. He is an Indian international cricketer. He plays for the Mumbai Indians and the Indian national cricket team. Rohit plays as a right-handed batsman and an occasional right-arm bowler. He is the most aggressive batsman and regarded as one of the best cricket batsmen in the world. In addition, he is the only cricketer in history, who scored a double century in three times ( 209, 264, 208) in the ODI cricket.
Early life
Sharma was born on 30 April 1987 into a poor family in Bansod, Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. His father’s name is Gurunath Sharma and his mother’s name is Purnima Sharma. Gurunath Sharma worked as a caretaker of a transport farm storehouse and Purnima Sharma was a housewife. Rohit was the first son of his parents. He was raised by his grandparents and uncles in Borivali, because of his father’s little income. Only during weekends, he would visit his parents, who lived in Dombivli in a single-room house. He has a younger brother, Vishal Sharma.
International Career Debut
Test debut : Sharma made his Test debut on 6 November 2013 Against West Indies at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. On that match, he scored 177 in the first innings from 301 balls with 23 fours and one six, where India won by an innings and 51 runs.
ODI debut: He made his One Day International debut 23 June 2007 against Ireland. On that match, he was number seven in the batting order but did not bat, as India won the game by 9 wickets.
T20I debut: He made his T20 International debut 23 June 2007 against England at Durban. On that match, he was number seven in the batting order too but did not bat, as India won the game by18 runs.
